  • It is a simple yet powerful ritual that involves narrating the story (katha) of Satyanarayan, seeking truth, prosperity, peace, and divine blessings.

🧘‍♂️ Rituals of Satyanarayan Puja

1. Puja Preparation

  • Clean the house and prepare the altar with a clean red/yellow cloth.
  • Place an idol or photo of Lord Vishnu / Satyanarayan with a kalash (water pot).
  • Decorate with flowers, toran, banana leaves, and lamps.

2. Sankalp (Resolution)

  • Take a vow (sankalp) to perform the puja with devotion, often with water and rice in hand.

3. Ganesh Puja

  • First offer prayers to Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles.

4. Kalash Sthapana

  • Place mango leaves in the kalash and a coconut on top, decorated with turmeric and kumkum.

5. Invocation of Lord Satyanarayan

  • Chant Vishnu Sahasranama or Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
  • Offer panchamrit (milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar), fruits, tulsi, betel leaves, and sweets.
